Text Box: The Ladies of WOM are once again sponsoring their annual food drive to benefit the Main Street Mission in Russellville. As in years previous, each Sunday School class is challenged to gather as many canned goods as possible during the month of February. At the end of the month, the class gathering the most canned goods will be the recipient of one fabulous breakfast courtesy of the Ladies of WOM.

Brother Jeff has started our 2012 Winter Bible Study.  See below for more information:

The Pursuit: Chasing Answers to Life's Questions, Learner Guide is a January Bible Study for 2012 based on the Book of Ecclesiastes that will raise the most challenging questions that we face in life in a very realistic way; remind us what life is really like when we choose the pattern of this world rather than what God has to give; help us develop an everyday theology, showing us how to shape a Christian worldview in light of the challenges of secularism; serve as a guide for us as we seek to learn how to engage culture in an effective way; and enable us to see afresh our need for the gospel of Jesus Christ. (7 sessions)

The question for readers of Ecclesiastes is: "Can meaning in life come from outside of a God-centered universe?" Ecclesiastes may well be the most contemporary book in the Bible, speaking to the very people who are most likely to build their lives on success, wealth, power, and intellectual reputation. Repeatedly, the book points out the futility of such a way of life, urging instead that readers face their need for God.
